Harmony Galore Four

Harmony Galore Four

1975 District Champion

All four guys were novices when they got together in 1973. Greg Pagh, lead, and Ron Nelson, bass, were still in college; Don Nelson, tenor (no relation to Ron), and Rich Treptow, bari, were both in their late twenties. They were a very visual quartet, with plenty of choreographed movements to highlight a light-hearted repertoire. They placed second in their first District contest in 1974, also winning the District's Novice Quartet Championship. They won the District Championship the next year in 1975. In their brief, 3-year run, they were very popular on the show circuit and did many shows throughout the LOL District and also a few in Central States District. Greg went on to become an ordained Lutheran minister; Ron won another district championship with Grandstand and became a kindergarten teacher; Don retired from barbershop and is a stockbroker in the Mpls area; Rich, was a public finance advisor, and went on to sing with several other District and International champion quartets, and also became an International judge in the Society's Contest and Judging System.
